This isn’t a random 30 minute photo session in someone’s basement. Our team of photographers has a combined 30 years of professional experience. When owner Karen expanded the team, she hand-selected photographers and beauty team members whose personalities align with our mission and vibe. No matter who you work with, every client gets the personalized full-day experience we specialize in providing.

It’s a beautiful, modern boudoir studio in Maryland which means you have a space specifically designed to create some magical images and a fun and relaxing experience. Most collections even come with studio bonus options to elevate your look! Click HERE to see examples.

And edgy, and cool, and modern. I know you remember cheesy Victoria's Secret catalog poses from the 90s. This isn't that. We help you look and feel not only sexy but also badass and cool. And most importantly, we provide a personalized experience to help you to embody the best version of YOU.

That means you can relax and feel comfortable knowing we understand how vulnerable this experience can feel. We are here to make it fun and confidence-building.
WE OFFER STYLING HELP AND A CLIENT CLOSET.
Not sure what to wear? Leave it to us. We have a client closet with hundreds of options in all sizes. And if you want to bring your own outfits, we give you shopping advice and offer complimentary pre-session style consults.

KARI
Kari is a photographer with twelve years full-time in the photo industry. She is passionate about empowering clients and showing each woman their own forgotten magic. When she isn’t photographing hot babes, she loves to write, travel, enjoy movie nights with her husband and 2 boys, and snuggle with her two labs. Her boudoir superpower is to gently lead you out of your comfort zone and make you feel like the queen you are.

MAKE UP ARTIST
April is one of our amazing make up artists at Velvet & Suede. She’s enjoyed the opportunity to serve hundreds of clients with her creative talents in the beauty industry for over 10 years. April says: “Working for Velvet & Suede has opened my eyes to an entire new world of female empowerment. I love being a part of a team that creates an experience for each client that allows them to continue to build on that sense of confidence." When she isn't making our clients feel like goddesses, she is doing bridal makeup, hanging with her pup, or in the gym making booty gains :D

MAKEUP ARTIST
Crista has been a professional makeup artist for 18 years. She says: “Working for Velvet & Suede has been such a huge part of my makeup journey. I stepped into this industry knowing very little about boudoir photography other than ‘sexy photos’. This community is SO much more than that! In working with Velvet & Suede, I feel honored to have joined a diverse and amazing team that focuses on empowerment!” When she’s not doing makeup, Crista is a proud mama of 2 little humans. She enjoys cooking and drinking all the iced coffee.

Theresa is a talented hairstylist with over 20 years experience. When she's not making our clients feel like a badass or hanging with her kids and dogs, she's working on home renovations or helping her husband run their family businesses. She loves being a part of our team and helping women find their inner confidence!
SYDNI
Being a makeup artist was Sydni’s dream job since she was a little girl. After nearly 2 decades of experience, she believes the opportunity to connect with women of all ages and ethnicities through her artistry is truly a dream come true. When she is not in the studio, she is likely spending time with her husband and three kids— cooking, reading or soaking up the sunshine!
